Who we are

The Surgeons Guild is a tight-knit community of barbers, sawbones, physickers, physicians, and more who exist outside of the DrachenFest competition. Membership is open to all healers, and we (and our leeches) are willing to schmooze, bribe, and intimidate to make sure every healer is safe and protected.

What we do

The Surgeons Guild runs a hospital in the Bazaar to provide mentorship, healing, and research—but our true mission is to ensure healers across all camps are treated fairly. Camp players can join the guild to learn new healing skills, hire guild healers for battles, or monitor and report on battle conditions to earn copper.

Want to get involved?

There are two ways to interact with the Surgeons: as full-time guild players, or as camp players.

Guild players are members of the neutral Bazaar and full-time officers of the Surgeons Guild. They act as liaisons with the camps, assist the leads in teaching classes, and are available for hire when the camps find themselves involved in skirmishes or other encounters. They are not otherwise involved in the egg competition and are empowered to decline service to camps who do not treat their healers well.

Camp players visit the guild after Game On and pay a small IG fee for membership. This allows them to take the guild's classes and make use of the resources the guild offers, including using the hospital space and props for personal surgical scenes.

How does healing work?

Healing is some of the most essential roleplay at DrachenFest, not to mention some of the most nuanced and customizable. Curious how it actually works on the ground? Read the DFUS blog post written by the Guild, exploring the mechanics, roleplay, and functions of healing at the event. You can find it here.
